A Wisconsin full courter is the early contender for shot of the week

It wouldn't be another week in prep basketball season without a ridiculous full court buzzer beater. Luckily, footage of one arrived from Wisconsin just in time.

As noted by the Post-Crescent, Oshkosh (Wis.) West High hoopster Ryan Sorenson buried a football-style heave from nearly the entire length of the court as the second period wound to a close during his team's matchup with Kaukauna (Wis.) High on Tuesday night. Sorenson's form was spectacular for a javelin thrower, though significantly more unorthodox for basketball.

Luckily for Sorenson that didn't affect the outcome, with the shot miraculously sailing straight through the hoop as if miraculously guided by a laser-tracking system. At the time, the bucket gave Oshkosh West a 28-25 lead at halftime, though that would prove to be short lived, with Kaukauna rallying with a 14-point edge in the fourth quarter to cruise to a 72-53 victory.

Sorenson finished the game with 12 points.

Of course, regardless of the final result of the game, or Sorenson's stat line, the shot that everyone will remember was the remarkable one-hander to cap the first half. After all, it's not every day you get a full court heave of perfection like Sorenson turned in.
