Some prospects have great athleticism and elevation. Some have incredible attitude that carries them to success. Then there are the rare recruits who have an abundance of both, with the skill to execute the flamboyant moves they dream up.
Kasey Hill is one of those rare athletes.
Hill, a rising senior at Clermont (Fla.) Montverde Academy, is one of the top point guard prospects, and one of the top-10 overall recruits nationwide. The Florida-bound playmaker is the kind of athlete who can change a program's fortunes as quickly as he can change a game.
If there was any doubt that Hill can take over a game, they can be adequately dispelled by the highlight you see above, where Hill decided to take the ball to the rack, blew by the post defender and then popped up to give him a staredown, cementing his impact on the game.
Florida will hope he brings similar talent and attitude to Gainesville, though even Gator fans may want to take Hill's presence with a grain of salt. If he's anything like the last flawless point guard to come under the tutelage of Montverde coach Kevin Boyle -- formerly the head coach at Elizabeth (N.J.) St. Patrick's High, Hill may not be there for more than a year.
If his subsequent presumptive NBA career starts out half as well as Kyrie Irving's has, it would be hard to fault Hill for that decision, either.
