If you haven't heard the name Wayne Selden or Rondae Jefferson before, don't worry, you will.
Selden is among the top recruits in the Class of 2014. He has almost absurd athleticism, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound frame which will only become more pro ready in the years to come. He's already a standout stud at the Tilton (N.H.) School, and stars on the same BABC AAU squad which brought Nerlens Noel, among others, to national prominence.
As for Jefferson, the rising senior is a top-25 recruit and potential game-changing small forward who appears to be lacking only a consistent deep jump shot. Once he's perfected that, the sky will truly be the limit for the athletic game-changer.
Yet, what none of those factors can tell you about Selden and Jefferson is that they have an incredible sense of creativity. Just take a look at the contest-winning dunks they provided in the video above.
At the 2012 Mary Kline Classic, an event put on by new Rivals.com and Yahoo! partner Recruit Scoop, Selden shared the dunk contest title with the rising senior Jefferson. First, Selden stunned onlookers by throwing the ball off the wall, collecting it and somehow still completing a full 360 dunk. Needless to say, it was pretty incredible.
How could Jefferson match that? With what can only be described as a leapfrog dunk, a maneuver which he made even more difficult by choosing to leap over 6-foot-8 prospect Austin Colbert.
Which dunk was better? In terms of athleticism, it's incredibly hard to argue with Selden's self-assisting 360. Still, Jefferson's leapfrog slam was one of the more creative efforts to come around at an all-star dunk contest in some time.
Perhaps a title tie was fitting. After all, it seems likely that neither will be forgotten anytime soon.
