N.C. back combines game worth of highlights on one run

Looking for an impressive touchdown from the ongoing high school football playoffs? They don't come much better than the run you see below by Franklin (N.C.) High running back Parrish Young, who somehow combined all the different wow factors you'd look for in a game's worth of great runs on a single gallop to the end zone.

As you can see above, on a single run Young A) hurdled a defensive back, B) gave a linebacker the "Ole!" treatment, C) bowled over another linebacker and safety like a dump truck and D) dragged his way out of those final two tackle attempts to reach the end zone.

Normally, that would be enough for a full day of work for a high school back, yet Young accomplished them all on a single run. That touchdown was, in turn, just a small part of Franklin's 477 total rushing yards and 43 carries in a 56-28 whitewash of East Henderson (N.C.) High in the second round of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Class 3A state playoffs.

It would be easy to say that Franklin simply outclassed East Henderson from the outset, but East coach Brett Chappell insisted that wasn't the case. Rather, Young and his backfield teammates may just be that good.

"Kudos to those guys," Eagles coach Brett Chappell told the Times-News Online. "They were more physical than us. I thought the biggest difference in the game, at least for us, was tackling. That's a tribute to their backs running hard."

Or, in the case of Young, running hard, evasively and acrobatically, all in one fell swoop.
