DeMarcus Croaker isn’t the most polished basketball recruit in the country, but he’s one heck of an athlete. Now we know he has plenty of edge, too, after he showed the full extent of his aggressiveness in a recent game.
As brought to Prep Rally’s attention by HomeTeam Hoops, the four-star Croaker dropped an absolute monstrous poster dunk during a recent game for Orlando (Fla.) Jones High. The Murray State-committed swingman, who picked the Racers ahead of scholarship offers from Texas and Florida State, took off on a drive into the lane and elevated to flatten the unidentified defender in his wake.
Yet Croaker wasn’t done with the dunk alone. Instead, he landed just in time to stare down the teen who had dared step in to stop him.
That, ladies and gentlemen, is nasty.
As one might even expect, the gym exploded into delirium as soon as Croaker landed, with a pair of Jones fans – perhaps members of the JV team – exploding out of the crowd and wrestling each other back to keep from running on to the court in excitement.
That dunk may very well serve as the signature highlight of Croaker’s senior season, but even if it does, it was worthy of that. You want see many more emphatic slams anywhere, at any level.
