We've seen our fair share of awe-inspiring prep football highlight tapes. Reggie Bush's Helix (La Mesa, Calif.) High film comes to mind. Current West Virginia wideout and kick return specialist Tavon Austin's Dunbar (Baltimore, Md.) High reel isn't bad, either.
But neither holds a candle to Montgomery (Nashville, Tenn.) Bell Academy senior Ryan Potter's mixtape, which has racked up more than 100,000 views in just over a month.
Somehow, the Big Red's sometimes cornerback, special teams player and backup kicker has yet to receive a scholarship offer, although he's listening. As he writes on the end of his highlight reel, "Looking for some offers. I'm open to any questions."
How could any potential recruiter question Potter's ability after watching the 5-feet-nothing, a-hundred-and-nothing jack-of-all-trades getting shoved to the ground with a flick of a defender's wrist; tripping over his own feet and chop-blocking a teammate; missing open-field tackles; nearly blocking his own team's extra point while falling backwards head over heels; and celebrating tackles 30 yards away from the ball.
That awkward moment when the back-up kicker gets over 1,100 views on his football highlight tape... #blessed with ability, #humble at heart.

Somehow, Potter didn't record a single statistic of any kind in his team's first 12 games this past fall, according to the Montgomery Bell Academy statistician. Could've sworn there's a made extra point and a special teams tackle in that highlight reel somewhere.
Former Montgomery Bell Academy teacher Sam Pickering was the inspiration for 1968 MBA graduate Thomas Schulman's "Dead Poets Society" screenplay. The school's list of esteemed alumni includes legendary sportswriter Grantland Rice, former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, 2012 Cy Young Award Winner R.A. Dickey and PGA Tour golfer Brandt Snedeker. Add to that list: Ryan Potter, YouTube sensation.
