Montana school hits three separate buzzer beaters in wild overtime win

What's better than one dramatic buzzer beater? Three crazy buzzer beaters, all by the same team, in a wild overtime victory.

That's precisely what played out in Montana earlier in December, with the video evidence of the triple-buzzer beater greatness hitting the web recently, as noted by USA Today. As reported by the Daily Interlake, the three separate shots were all hit by Kalispell (Mont.) Glacier High in a narrow 62-61 victory against Great Falls (Mont.) C.M. Russell High, and all three are documented in the highlight clip you see above.

While the first buzzer beater might not be too much of a stunner -- players hit three points just before the horn of individual quarters on a fairly regular basis -- the shot by Kyle Griffith tied the game up at the end of regulation was pure class, with the guard drilling a clutch trey following a rebound by teammate Reid Siderius.

And then there was the game-winner by Glacier's Bryan Michaels, who drained a ridiculous three-quarter court heave when the game finally appeared lost.

Obviously, it wasn't, sending the Glacier players into absolute delirium while their C.M. Russell counterparts sat on the court in pure astonishment.

“He had a pretty open look at it,” Glacier coach Mark Harkins told the Daily Interlake of Michaels’ game-winning shot. “I think they didn’t want to foul. Bryan took one dribble and let it fly.

“I was incredibly proud of my guys. I think they played as hard as any team of mine has ever played. It was a great basketball game. Both teams laid it out and I was proud of our kids for battling through and getting it done.”

Gutting out a win happens on a fairly regular basis. Pulling off a win with three buzzer beaters doesn't, so Prep Rally is sure the true wonder of Glacier's victory is probably starting to sink in for Harkins right about now.
